Logan International Airport Green Bus Depot Simon Design Engineering is providing Structural Engineer of Record services on this construction manager at risk project. The Massport Green Bus Depot will provide administrative and transportation office space in addition to bus storage, maintenance and servicing facilities for the fleet of buses used for operations at Logan International Airport. Located on a 9.4 acre triangular parcel of land in the North Service Area of Logan Airport, the project site is bordered by the MBTA Blue Line tracks, Boston Harbor/Wood Island Marsh, and existing buildings housing Logan flight kitchens. The facility consists of four connected buildings: administration/operations/office space; bus maintenance/wash bays; enclosed bus storage; and covered bus storage for a total of 72,000 square feet of structure.
